A pleasant walk through the most representative peaks of Brenta Dolomites. From Molveno Lake we will be ransported by car to Croz dell'Altissimo hut. We will walk across forests, meadows and rohdodendorn through Val delle Seghe, characterized by dolomite and limestone that give the valley a uniform geological appearance.
The Seghe Valley is one of the most characteristic of the Brenta Group. From Lake Molveno it goes into the heart of the Brenta, up to Bocca di Tuckett. A large amphitheater of walls: Croz dell'Altissimo, Cima Lasteri, Cima Gaiarda on the left side. Monte Daino, Cima delle Fontane Fredde, Castello alto dei Massodi, Cima Brenta on the right side. It is crossed by the Massò river which gives a "V" profile to the valley. In 800 the Seghe Valley was the main access to the Brenta Group for the first mountaineers-explorers.
The Valley takes its name from the "Saws", ancient water sawmills that stood along the course of the Massò river. One of these can be visited near the western shore of the lake, just outside Molveno.
