Meet our Team

Most of our staff members are based in the Dolomites, where we have the main office, and also in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc area and South Tyrol. Our guides are local, and they are permanently based in the regions where they guide the tours.

Alex Baraev

Alex Baraev

Director of Operations and Business Development

Alex was introduced to outdoor activities by his parents, and since his childhood he has enjoyed traveling in the wild. Alex is a co-owner and co-founder of Mont Trekking. An engineer and PhD in telecommunications, Alex manages Mont Trekking's IT infrastructure, coordinates operations and leads business development. An avid hiker, cross-country skier and yachtsman, Alex enjoys exploring the Alps in search of new hiking itineraries that later add to the MONT Trekking collection of treks. Alex is the father of two boys who are both passionate mountain explorers.

Rossella Bolner

Adventure Consultant

Rossella is originally from Trento and used to spend her childhood summer holidays at her grandma’s house in a very small village in Val di Sole, where Mont Trekking is based. From a young age, she immediately showed propensity for foreign languages. After a year abroad in Portugal, Rossella studied Tourism, Sport and Event Management in Bruneck. Once graduated, Rossella moved to her grandma’s village in Val di Sole and started to work in the local tourism industry, acquiring more and more customer care and problem-solving skills, and finally joined Mont Trekking. In her free time, Rossella loves cooking (especially desserts) and taking long walks with her beloved dog.

Chiara Cavallari was born in a small Alpine valley of Val di Rabbi in the Italian province of Trentino. Since childhood, Chiara has loved nature and explored the magnificent mountains that surround her home valley. For this reason, she decided to study in San Michele all’Adige at the Agrarian Institute, where she obtained her diploma in environmental and land management. After graduation, Chiara joined the reservations support group at Mont Trekking. Chiara has carried her passion and love for nature and the mountains throughout her entire life. Whenever she has some free time, she enjoys trekking in the mountains and discovering new beautiful places.

Erika Comina

Erika Comina

Lead Program Manager

Erika has been a member of the Mont Trekking team since 2019. During this time, Erika has successfully worked with almost all aspects of the company's operations until she found her greatest interest in developing new trekking itineraries. Erika grew up in Val di Sole where she was introduced at very young age to the world of alpinism by her father, who was president of SAT Peio, a local section of the Italian Alpine Club (CAI). She completed her studies at the University of Trento and received the Bachelor Degree in Modern Languages for Tourism and Enterprise. In winter Erika dedicates herself to alpine skiing and ski mountaineering, whereas in summer she is a passionate climber and hiker.

Chiara coordinates our work with providers of services for our guests, such as mountain huts, hotels, and transportation companies. Chiara grew up in Emilia-Romagna, at the foot of the hills of Northern Italy. At a very young age, Chiara fell in love with the mountains and began visiting them both in summer and winter. In 2022, after graduating in corporate communications and public relations, she finally realized her lifelong dream and moved to Trentino to join the Mont Trekking team. In her free time from work and sports, Chiara likes to travel the world. In winter, her passion is skiing, and in summer she devotes herself to all kinds of activities that keep her moving, such as hiking and tennis. Next travel plans? Who knows.

Martina Graifenberg

Manager of Sales and Customer Relations

Martina grew up among the mountains of Val di Sole in the Italian province of Trentino. She had the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of adventure travel even as a child, because her parents ran a hotel in a valley surrounded by mountains. It was a meeting place for hikers, alpinists, skiers and mountain guides. Martina often accompanied tourists through the mountains together with her parents or mountain guides. Being passionate about sports, Martina studied the Tourism, Sport and Event Management in Bruneck, thus combining her interests in the sport and the travel industry. Since 2018, Martina has been deeply involved in working with Mont Trekking guests, helping them choose the right hiking itinerary in the right time. Martina has earned a brilliant reputation among Mont Trekking’s regular clients, who turn to Martina year after year.

Cecilia Iachelini

Cecilia Iachelini

Managing Director

Cecilia is co-founder and co-owner of Mont Trekking. As the managing director, she is responsible for the overall management of the company and is involved in all aspects of the company's operations. Cecilia was introduced to the mountains by her parents, who started managing the Rifugio Dorigoni mountain hut in Stelvio in the 1970s. Later, in the 1990s, Cecilia took over the management of Rif. Dorigoni and continues to manage the hut since then. In her little spare time, Cecilia loves to ski on the slopes of Val di Sole and Peio, and does not deny herself the pleasure of climbing a mountain peak in the Brenta Dolomites or walking along a via-ferrata.

Lorenzo  Iachelini

Lorenzo Iachelini

Associate Partner

Lorenzo was at the origins of Mont Trekking, advising the founders on most matters related to the development of hiking itineraries, the technical equipment of the company and ensuring safety on the routes. Lorenzo is a UIAGM Mountain Guide and is extremely knowledgeable about being in the wild. With extensive practical experience and theoretical knowledge, Lorenzo continues to advise the team on many aspects and invests significant efforts in improving the skills of the Mont Trekking employees in topography, meteorology, and safety.

Veronica Odorizzi

Veronica Odorizzi

Adventure Consultant

Since 2016, Veronica has primarily been working as an adventure consultant at Mont Trekking. Her interests and responsibilities also include marketing and content creation for Mont Trekking's social media pages. Veronica passed the days of her childhood in Val di Sole in Trentino. After her university studies in Trento, she returned to her home valley with a degree in Economics, started to work in the travel industry and finally joined Mont Trekking. Veronica is raising two young mountain explorers and is frequently seen hiking with them in the Dolomites.

Daniela Pegolotti

Adventure consultant

Daniela is one of Mont Trekking's most experienced adventure consultants, having been with the company almost since its foundation. Daniela grew up in the Italian alpine province of Trentino and explored all its mountains from the Dolomites in the east to Ortler-Cevedale in the west. Before joining the Mont Trekking team, Daniela spent five years in Padua where she graduated from the University of Padua with a degree in Management of Cultural Tourism.

Administrative Manager

Oriola joined Mont Trekking in 2022 as an Administrative Manager. With years of experience in accounting, she ensures that every financial detail is in place, making sure the numbers always add up. Oriola was born in October 1986 and moved to Trentino at the age of 14. She graduated in 2006 as an Accountant and Commercial Expert. Although Oriola was born and raised by the sea, she immediately fell in love with the mountains, their silence, peace, and tranquility. A proud mother of two boys, both passionate about football, Oriola manages to balance the precision of her work with the busyness of family life. In her free time, she loves spending weekends at sports tournaments and relaxing moments immersed in nature.

Nicola Valentini

Group Tour Manager and Adventure Consultant

Nicola has been part of the MONT Trekking team since 2022 when he started as an adventure consultant. In 2024 Nicola moved into the role of groups programs manager. Nicola was born in June 1992 and spent his childhood in Val di Sole at the edge of the Brenta Dolomites and Orter-Cevedale. His course of study, and parallel growth, has been varied and heterogeneous. In 2011 Nicola enrolled in the degree course in Planning and Management of Cultural Tourism at the University of Padua. Despite a 6-month break when he decided to further challenge himself with a working holiday in Australia, he graduated in 2014. In autumn 2015 Nicola enrolled in the master's degree course in Planning and Management of Tourism Systems at the University of Bergamo. After exchange studies in Manchester and the first working experience in tourism, Nicola graduated in 2020. In his leisure time Nicola enjoys hiking, coaching (and watching too much) football, and spending time with his friends.
